The Triumph of John and Betty Stam
Recounts the life of husband and wife martyred in China in 1934, and the miraculous deliverance of their baby daughter.
Shortly after arriving in China in 1934 as missionaries with the China Inland Mission, John and Betty Stam were beheaded by the Communists. Miraculously, baby Priscilla was rescued by Chinese Christians.
The story of this American couple martyred more than half a century ago continues to challenge listeners as we hear of their dedication to Christ, and the incredible delivery from death of their baby daughter.
As a child in the 1930’s, Ruth Stam remembers the shock of hearing about the execution of her aunt and uncle, John and Betty Stam. The book is read by Stams niece, Ruth Stam Jordan.
